How to use an electric tandoor?
An electric tandoor is a convenient and efficient solution for cooking meat, fish, vegetables, bread, and many other dishes. Unlike a traditional tandoor, an electric model offers a safer and more convenient cooking experience, making it ideal for apartments, private homes, and summer houses.Below are the basic steps for using your electric tandoor correctly to achieve delicious and flavorful results.
Place the electric tandoor on a flat, stable surface away from flammable materials. Make sure a suitable electrical outlet is available nearby.
Assemble all components according to the manufacturer's instructions. Connect the unit to the power supply and ensure that all connections are secure.
Open the lid and make sure there are no foreign objects inside. If necessary, wipe the interior with a damp cloth to remove any dust.
Turn on the tandoor and set it to the maximum temperature. Allow it to preheat for 30–40 minutes. This helps remove any manufacturing residues and brings the unit to the proper cooking temperature.
While the tandoor is heating, prepare your ingredients. You can cook meat, fish, vegetables, bread, and many other foods. Marinate the ingredients beforehand if your recipe requires it.
Arrange the food on the skewers or cooking racks and place them inside the tandoor according to the manufacturer's instructions. Close the lid securely.
Set the recommended cooking time based on the type of food. Check the cooking progress periodically and turn the food if necessary to ensure even cooking.
Once the food is fully cooked, switch off the tandoor and carefully open the lid. Use heat-resistant gloves to safely remove the skewers or racks with the prepared food.
Allow the tandoor to cool down naturally before cleaning. Remove any food residue and grease, wipe the interior and exterior with a damp cloth, and store the unit in a clean, dry place.
